Job Description

TEK Productions Accounting Specialist Who We Are TEK Productions is a full-service corporate event company creating high quality immersive experiences in the live-show, business meeting, and event space. What You'll Do The Accounting Specialist provides general accounting support to the business office in the daily operation of TEK Productions. Responsibilities & Duties Provide general accounting support including accounts payable functions, maintaining vendor accounts, spreadsheets and documentation. Process invoices, perform data entry, and manage the accounting inbox to ensure timely and accurate payments Track expenses for company-wide travel & business accounts (i.e. Uber, E-PASS, Amazon, Staples, etc.) Handle vendor inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and proactively research issues Maintain compliance with internal controls Process and verify independent contractor information Review and validate employee expense reports for accuracy and adherence to guidelines Reconcile credit card statements monthly Verify and manage Certificates of Insurance to ensure compliance Support month-end and year-end closing processes All other duties assigned by management Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2-3 years' bookkeeping or accounting experience and understanding of advanced budgeting/accounting principles is required Prior experience with expense management software is required Experience in QuickBooks or other accounting software is required Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs; MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams are highly preferred Superb organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills Ability to work proactively and independently Exceptional written and verbal communication Proven initiative to complete assignments and meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity Ability to work with a variety of personnel, at every level, in a creative environment Prior experience in entertainment, film or production environment is a plus Available for flexible work schedule Ability to sit for long periods of time
