Accounts Receivable / Medical Billing Specialist Our growing physician owned urology focused ambulatory surgery center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment. Position Summary The AR/Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing insurance claims, payment posting, follow-up on outstanding accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance guidelines, and revenue cycle management, preferably within an ambulatory surgery center. Responsibilities Submit and follow up on insurance claims in a timely manner Work denied or unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies Post insurance and patient payments accurately Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and appeals Maintain detailed documentation on account activity Assist with patient billing questions as needed Collaborate with team members to support efficient revenue cycle operations Identify and report trends or issues impacting reimbursement Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent Medical terminology and coding courses Minimum of 1 years of medical billing and/or accounts receivable experience preferred Ambulatory Surgery Center and/or surgical billing experience strongly preferred Knowledge of insurance claims, EOBs, denials, appeals, and payment posting Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment Experience with EMR and billing software preferred What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who: Is dependable and self-motivated Has a positive and professional attitude Works well with others and values teamwork Is organized and detail-oriented Takes initiative and is willing to jump in and help wherever needed Is committed to accuracy and excellent customer service Why Join Our Team?
