Collections and Billing Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Collections and Billing Specialist to join our multi-practice optometry offices. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable by generating invoices, monitoring aged accounts, contacting patients to recover overdue payments, ensuring accurate billing processes, and maintaining compliance. Perform detailed account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of billing records and resolve discrepancies and insurance denials efficiently. Conduct medical collections by verifying CPT coding, ICD-10 codes, and medical terminology to facilitate accurate billing for healthcare providers. Handle customer service inquiries related to billing issues with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and negotiation skills to resolve disputes effectively. Assist with analysis of accounts receivable data to identify trends, improve collection strategies, and enhance revenue cycle management processes. Proven experience in accounts receivable, medical billing, or collections within a healthcare or financial services setting. Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for data entry, account reconciliation, and financial reporting tasks. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via phone and written correspondence while maintaining professional etiquette.

Pay:

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
