Job Description

We are seeking a full-time, on-premises Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and dependable accounting professional with strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles , hands-on QuickBooks Online experience, and the ability to manage day-to-day bookkeeping as well as more advanced accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced office environment. This individual should be professional, organized, responsive, and comfortable supporting both accounting operations and general office needs. Work experience in B2B, Wholesale distribution, construction, manufacturing, mid-sized companies a PLUS. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and daily accounting operations Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Process payments via credit card, check, and wire transfer Review account coding and classifications to ensure accuracy and consistency Prepare and post journal entries Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations Monitor and maintain accurate records for bank deposits, receivables, and inter-company transactions Review, prepare, and file sales tax returns monthly or quarterly, as required Support and help manage the month-end close process Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts for monthly close procedures Record and review accruals, prepaids, and depreciation Prepare financial statements, management reports, and activity summaries from QuickBooks Online Assist with financial statement analysis and performance reporting Review cash flow and work with management on budgeting and financial planning Assist in resolving unusual or complex accounting issues Clean up unapplied cash, disputed balances, and other problematic AP/AR items Enter weekly payroll reports and provide payroll support when needed Assist with monthly commissions payable Coordinate with external CPA/accountant for month-end and year-end closing support Provide year-end documentation and support for outside accountants/CPAs Review internal controls and assist with approval procedures and accounting safeguards Complete account postings and maintain accurate financial records Assist management with office tasks and administrative support as needed Provide professional assistance via phone, mail, and email Support order processing and contribute to a positive, helpful workplace Perform other duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role Strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with CRM software is a plus Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional, courteous, and team-oriented approach Comfortable with computers, office tasks, and working in a collaborative environment Preferred Traits Positive, upbeat attitude Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Reliable, accurate, and responsive under pressure Prefer QuickBooks Online Certification Certified Bookkeeper (CB) Why Join Us We are looking for someone who will be more than just a bookkeeper—someone who will be a trusted part of the team and a positive presence in the office every day.
