Job Description

A well-established industry leader in Indian River County is looking to add an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. Must have 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting function. In this role, you'll be a key part of the accounting and office support function, handling a variety of Accounts Payable responsibilities along with important administrative and clerical tasks. This includes maintaining accurate records, assisting with Accounts Receivable when needed, processing data entry and purchase orders, managing filing and documentation, and serving as a point of contact for phone communication. Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and process project-related invoices by matching supporting field documentation and assigning proper job cost codes Accurately input invoices into the accounting system and prepare checks for printing and distribution Log and process subcontractor payment applications promptly Cross-check subcontractor billing requests against project status reports and route for Project Manager approval Generate, print, and circulate reporting as required Track and maintain up-to-date insurance documentation Collect and process lien waivers and ensure payment applications are current Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner Set up and maintain vendor and subcontractor records within the system Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements to ensure accuracy Qualifications & Skills 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting function Solid understanding of basic accounting principles High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail Effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage records and prioritize tasks efficiently Professional presentation and demeanor Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting/ERP systems Hours
