Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures. Your expertise in accounting software, financial concepts, and internal controls will be essential in maintaining smooth and efficient accounts payable operations. Responsibilities Receiving, processing, and recording customer invoices using accounting software and systems. Process sales contracts, employee expense reports, salary information, and company time sheets. Communicate with vendors, customers and different departments in their organization to resolve and clarify issues related to accounting policies and procedures. Cut checks, code payments, type memos, prepare accounting reports, and maintain accounts payable and receivable ledgers. Skills Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions). Strong in statistics and data-entry Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access, as well as accounting principles and standards Project management Basic bookkeeping Qualifications High School Degree or GED equivalent Experience in related industry Requirements Minimum of 1-3 years in an accounting position requiring knowledge of AP and AR practices.
