  • Adairsville, GA Job Profile Summary The International Logistics & AP Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end airfreight processes while supporting accounts payable functions related to freight operations.
This role ensures timely shipment execution, cost control, accurate invoice processing, and effective communication between Turkey production, logistics teams, and EAE USA project management.
Key Responsibilities Airfreight Quotation & Approval:
  • Request and obtain airfreight quotes for all shipments in a timely manner
  • Review quotes for cost efficiency and coordinate internal approvals
  • Ensure timely booking of shipments to meet Required On Job (ROJ) dates
  • Minimize expedited or premium freight costs caused by delays
Shipment Coordination & Monitoring:
  • Coordinate and track all international airfreight shipments from origin to delivery
  • Identify potential delays and proactively mitigate risks
  • Ensure proper booking, pickup, and flight scheduling
Issue Resolution:
  • Monitor in-transit shipments and resolve any issues promptly
  • Address delays related to carriers, customs, or documentation
  • Prevent additional costs such as storage, demurrage, or rebooking fees
Cross-Functional Communication:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Turkey production and logistics teams and EAE USA project management
  • Provide timely updates regarding shipment status, delays, and risks
  • Enable project teams to make informed decisions and communicate effectively with customers
Customs & Tariff Coordination:
  • Manage tariff code requests required for customs clearance
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurate and submitted on time
  • Support smooth clearance processes and avoid delays or penalties
Freight Audit & Accounts Payable Coordination:
  • Audit freight invoices for accuracy and compliance with agreed rates
  • Approve invoices for payment processing in alignment with AP procedures
  • Act as a liaison between logistics and accounting to ensure timely payments
  • Support monthly close processes by eliminating bottlenecks in invoice approvals Impact of Role This role directly supports on-time shipment delivery, freight cost control, efficient invoice processing, effective global communication, and overall customer satisfaction. Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or airfreight coordination
  • Experience with accounts payable or invoice processing
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple teams and time zones
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of international shipping and customs clearance processes
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Workday or SAP
  • Understanding of freight billing structures and cost analysis
