You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights through detailed financial reporting. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Record journal entries, including debits and credits, to maintain the integrity of the financial statements Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings in compliance with governmental regulations Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis Prepare detailed financial reports and summaries for management review and audit purposes Requirements Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double-entry bookkeeping methods Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus Familiarity with financial concepts including account reconciliation, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and account analysis Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in financial report writing and record keeping Prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments preferred This energetic role invites motivated individuals eager to contribute their expertise in bookkeeping while growing within a supportive organization.
