Job Description
Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations for a collaborative team in Atlanta, Georgia. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing accounts payable and accounts receivable work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The role offers the chance to contribute to dependable financial processes, assist with billing activities, and help keep transactions and records organized and current.
Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices with careful attention to coding, entry accuracy, and timely handling.
- Review invoices and related documents to verify details, address exceptions, and maintain complete supporting records.
- Facilitate the payment workflow by coordinating approvals and preparing disbursements according to established timelines.
- Support receivables and invoicing activities to promote accurate billing and consistent cash application processes.
- Reconcile accounts regularly, investigate variances, and help ensure financial information remains reliable.
- Record and monitor daily accounting activity using QuickBooks Online and other financial tools.
- Contribute to a structured, deadline-driven environment by maintaining organization, consistency, and strong attention to detail. Requirements
- Experience supporting accounts payable functions in a high-volume processing environment.
- Working knowledge of accounts receivable tasks, including billing support and related follow-up activities.
- Ability to perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies with accuracy.
- Familiarity with core accounting procedures and day-to-day transactional processing.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail in financial work.
