Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a team in Brunswick, Maine on a Contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can step in quickly and support core receivables operations with accuracy and professionalism. The role focuses on maintaining billing activities, following up on outstanding balances, and helping keep cash-related records organized and up to date.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, ensuring customer balances are tracked accurately and consistently.
  • Prepare and issue invoices in a timely manner while verifying billing details for completeness and correctness.
  • Conduct commercial collections outreach to resolve overdue accounts and encourage prompt payment.
  • Apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts and maintain accurate cash application records.
  • Review cash activity and account transactions to identify discrepancies or outstanding items requiring follow-up.
  • Assist with account reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting and receivables tracking.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external contacts to address billing questions and payment issues efficiently.
