PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position processes and maintains invoices, resolves discrepancies, ensures compliance with district policies, and maintains and supports accurate and timely vendor payments and financial reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
Required:
High School diploma, or Three (3) years of Accounts Payable related work experience with a record of responsibility and Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred:
Coursework in business education or accounting Licenses, Certifications, and other Requirements
Required:
IOFM Accounts Payable or similar finance certification Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software programs. Proficiency in the use of standard business office equipment. Ability to perform mathematical calculations with speed and accuacy. Communication skills, including clarity, tact, courtesy, and calm during stressful situations. Ability to understand and follow oral and written communications. Ability to work with principals, administrators, school personnel, and external vendors. Duties and Responsibilities Since every duty associated with this position may not be described herein, employees may be required to perform duties not specifically spelled out but may be considered incidental in the performance of this job. Works with all Accounts Payable related functions including, but not limited to, preparing invoices for payment; reconciling vendor statements; recording disbursements; assisting employees and vendors; filing, scanning, and preparing checks. Processes all Accounts Payable related federally mandated reporting including, but not limited to,1099's. Administers, reconciles, and manages purchasing cards for administrators in the district. Prepare bank reconciliations for internal purchasing card statements. Reviews and approves payments for
E-SPLOST
related pay applications and invoices. Processes vendor payments via, check, ACH, or virtual credit card in the absence of the department director. Manages fixed and non-fixed assets; inputs data into Resource Manager program. Reviews incoming records and requests to ensure completeness and accuracy. Provide guidance or training to Senior Clerks as needed. Trains Munis end users and assist with finance process inquiries when necessary. Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains files and records as appropriate. Maintains appropriate, professional relationships with contacts in other departments and schools. Maintains confidentiality of information. Maintains AP or similar P Certification. Assists director and technician with other duties as assigned. Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the orginazation. Work Environment Employees in this classification are normally exposed to a typical office environment. The employee has some control over the length of time sitting, standing, or ambulating. There are occasions that require the lifting or pulling of equipment or supplies, as well as bending, stooping, or stretching. There is frequent use of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment, which includes reading, listening, writing, or speaking. There are few exceptional physical or sensory demands.
