Job Description

Position Summary Valdosta, GA CPA practice is looking for a dependable and detail‑oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to help support a diverse portfolio of small and mid‑sized business clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct contact with clients and can generate accurate financial statements to be used for various business purposes and tax planning/preparation. We are looking for someone who can work independently, can meet deadlines, has good communication skills and gets along well with others. Key Responsibilities Oversee full‑cycle bookkeeping for a variety of clients Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop Update depreciation schedules Prepare and record journal entries Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform account reviews Work with payroll reports and reconcile to systems such as ADP or similar providers Research and resolve discrepancies or irregularities Prepare clean financials to support tax filings Sales tax preparation Required Qualifications QuickBooks Desktop/QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification — a plus Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (experience in a CPA firm strongly preferred) Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines Strong accuracy, organization, and communication skills Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Preferred Experience Prior work in a CPA firm or client‑service environment Experience with various trades/professions/service‑based industries Familiarity with payroll platforms (ADP, Paychex, Quickbooks, Gusto, etc.) Experience with cleanup or catch‑up bookkeeping projects Work Environment & Compensation Full-time work Between 40-50 hours during busy season - December thru April 36 hours a week the rest of the year
