Job Description

About us We are fast-paced and our goal is to help individuals obtain meaningful work, be paid fairly, and have fun in the process! We are seeking an Accounting Clerk resource for a contract role. This is a long-term contract that has the option for conversion to a full-time position. You will play a key role in both daily operations and month-end financial activities. This position supports a wide range of accounting and administrative responsibilities including reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and ongoing communication with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and communicate effectively. Process and enter Bills of Lading (BOLs) and submit purchase orders (POs). Perform daily reconciliation and balancing of units; investigate and resolve variances. Review daily reports to identify and address anomalies. Provide administrative support as needed. Manage daily closings and ensure completeness of financial data. Handle vendor payables, perform reconciliations, and act as a point of contact. Oversee accounts receivable and manage cash application activities. Research general ledger accounts, track expenses, and prepare accruals. Assist with month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting. Analyze and interpret financial data with attention to accuracy and detail. Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and GAAP audit standards.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field, preferred. Minimum of 1.5 years of hands-on accounting experience. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent organizational skills. Proficient in accounting and productivity software. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced proficiency in one or more accounting softwares would be great. Must be able to pass a criminal background check as well as a drug test. Role is onsite 5 days a week close to the airport.
