Accounting Assistant

Accounting Assistant, Mililani (Convenient to Central & West Oahu) $20.00 - $24.00 per hour The Islander is Hawaii's leading wholesale distributor, founded in 1975 and we are looking for a motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team. This is a stable, full-time opportunity with a well-established local company, offering competitive pay and a convenient Central Oahu location. If you enjoy working with numbers, keeping accounts in order, and being a reliable part of a close-knit team, we'd love to hear from you. In this role, you will handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, process collections and disbursements, and maintain customer and vendor accounts with precision and efficiency. You will play an important role in supporting our accounting team with financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting (A/R & A/P) basic functions. Collection and disbursements. Maintain customer and vendor accounts.

Invoice Processing & Reconciliations What We Are Looking For :

1-3 years' experience in accounting or finance, experience in distribution industry preferred. Organization and time management skills. Interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to details and accuracy. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel are necessary. Must pass all pre-employment tests (drug test & background check). Why The Islander Group?
