Accounting Specialist

Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Compliance Process biweekly payroll for all employees using ADP Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, garnishments, benefits deductions, and tax regulations Manage month-end payroll reconciliations Accounting & Reconciliation Assist the accounting departments with any AP/AR support needed. Record payroll journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger Reconcile payroll, tax, and benefit accounts monthly Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and reports ADP System Administration Configure earning codes, deduction codes, and tax setup in ADP Run standard and custom payroll reports. Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and work with ADP support as needed Reporting & Analysis Prepare payroll-related reports Analyze payroll trends, variances, and labor costs Assist with budgeting and forecasting of payroll and payroll taxes Employee Support Respond to employee payroll questions professionally and confidentially Partner with HR on benefits deductions, leave payouts, and policy compliance Support payroll-related process improvements and documentation Qualifications Required Associates degree or higher Hands-on experience with ADP High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to meet strict deadlines Jim Hawk Truck Trailers, Inc.
