Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of accounting software and contribute to the smooth functioning of our financial processes. Responsibilities Manage and record all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. Prepare and process journal entries, including debits & credits, to maintain the integrity of the financial records. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to support accurate financial reporting. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Generate financial reports, including budget analysis and account analysis, to support management decision-making. Maintain detailed documentation of all bookkeeping activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Support governmental accounting requirements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations. Experience Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit organizations. Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries. Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Familiarity with GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is preferred. Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience, and budget management is advantageous. Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts accurately. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
