Bookkeeper Chicago, IL Office - Hybrid $45-60K (Depending on Experience) - Full Time with Benefits Take your career to the next level with us! R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (R.M. Chin) is seeking a bookkeeper.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the organization's financial data is complete, current, and compliant with applicable standards. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Qualification Requirements Education - High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices Proficiency with accounting software (DELTEK) Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion Key Responsibilities Record daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, and journal entries Manage accounts payable and support accounts receivable when needed Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts Process payroll and related filings, as applicable Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documentation Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Support audits and provide requested financial information Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations Key Competencies Experience with payroll processing and tax filings Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Clear written and verbal communication skills
Job Offer:
Competitive base salary between $45 - 60K, depending on project assignment, experience, skills, and location. Annual bonuses are based on individual and company performance. 401K yearly profit-sharing contribution. PTO. 9 paid holidays, plus 2 floating holidays. Parental leave.
