Job Description

Job Overview Administrative Office Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the daily financial and administrative operations. This role maintains accurate financial records, processes accounts payable and accounts receivable, performs bank reconciliations, prepares journal entries, assists with tax-related procedures, and utilizes QuickBooks or similar accounting software to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms. Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure consistency across all financial statements. Record journal entries accurately, including debits & credits, and ensure they align with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing and payment tracking. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to verify the accuracy of financial data. Assist with payroll processing, tax preparation, and governmental accounting requirements as needed. Experience Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of accounting practices. Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping systems and financial concepts such as debits & credits and journal entries. Familiarity with technical accounting tasks including account analysis, financial report writing, budgeting, and payroll processing. Excellent attention to detail. Strong math skills, especially working with weights (tons, pounds, ounces, gallons) and pricing calculations. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to interpret financial data effectively.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
