Job Description

About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of accounting, organization, and supporting day-to-day business operations. You'll play an important part in keeping our financial processes running smoothly while also contributing to administrative, reporting, and compliance efforts across the company. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key processes while working closely with a small, collaborative team. What You'll Do Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records, including customer and vendor information, and assist with basic inventory tracking Review and process employee timecards and submit payroll data to our external payroll provider Prepare and file sales tax returns, 1099s, and other required reports Compile financial and operational data and generate reports to support management decisions Assist with HR-related administrative tasks, including onboarding, payroll deductions, and maintaining safety documentation Support our quality program, including participating in internal/external audits Prepare field service documentation, including safety audit and calibration reports Provide customers with safety and insurance documentation to meet their compliance requirements Pitch in where needed to support customer service, order fulfillment, and general office operations Support safety training and documentation for contractor safety programs What You Bring Working knowledge of basic accounting and payroll principles Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies Comfort working with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on tasks Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities Nice to Have Experience with accounting software Familiarity with sales tax processes or quality systems Education & Experience Associate's degree in accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience What We Value Integrity and accountability Reliability and self-motivation Teamwork and a positive, collaborative attitude Curiosity and a desire to continuously improve
