Accounts Payable Clerk (Bookkeeping Focus)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk with a focus on bookkeeping tasks. This position is ideal for students or individuals with experience in bookkeeping, banking, or financial data management. While this is a temporary role, there is potential for permanent placement based on performance and company needs. A degree or formal license is not required-your skills, reliability, and attention to detail are what matter most.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner, including invoice entry, matching, and payment preparation. Maintain organized and accurate financial records. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining general ledger accuracy. Prepare reports on account balances, payments, and outstanding invoices. Support month-end and year-end financial close processes. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial transactions. Collaborate with team members to address financial queries and provide support as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in bookkeeping, banking, or accounts payable (preferred but not required). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic proficiency in financial software or willingness to learn (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel). Excellent time management and dependability. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
