Job Description

This position is classified as non-exempt in accordance with applicable federal and state wage and hour laws. As the Accounting Clerk you are responsible for supporting daily accounting and financial operations through accurate processing, reconciliation, reporting, and financial record maintenance. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring efficient management of accounts payable and general accounting functions.
Essential Job FunctionsExpected Outcomes:
Your Accountabilities in the Role The following duties are considered essential functions of the Accounting Clerk position. Achieving Accounting Excellence to Meet Financial Goals (100%) Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely, including invoice review, coding, entry, and payment processing. Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records. Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial information. Process invoices and reconcile payments to supporting documentation and vendor statements. Assist with month-end and year-end close activities. Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and supporting documentation. Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as requested. Prepare routine financial reports and assist with financial analysis. Enter, review, and verify financial data to ensure completeness and accuracy. Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments regarding accounting matters. Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned. The job criteria may include other duties, responsibilities and activities, which may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Position Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience Certification(s): n/a

Advanced Excel and computer skills, knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, time management and multitasking capabilities, attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational and communication skills, dependability and professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Language Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Perform Essential Functions:
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer workstation. Ability to frequently operate a computer, keyboard, calculator, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Ability to review, prepare, and analyze financial documents and electronic records. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication. Ability to occasionally move throughout the office to access files, office equipment, and meeting locations. Ability to occasionally lift and carry files, documents, and office materials weighing up to 15 pounds. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Environmental ConditionsTravel:
The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise. The employee is occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while visiting the manufacturing area or client locations. This position may face inclement weather conditions when traveling and be exposed to machinery, moving parts, or fumes.
