Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana on a part-time. In this contract role, you will play a key part in managing billing functions, payment processing, and collections. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a structured office environment with parking provided on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, including payment posting and cash applications.
• Handle collections and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
• Utilize third-party billing portals for accurate and efficient processing.
• Manage AIA billing functions.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with the transition to a new billing software system as needed.
• Monitor and analyze accounts to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare reports and manage data efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing billing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, and collections.
• Strong knowledge of AIA billing processes and third-party billing portals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively.
• Experience with Sage software is a plus.
