Job Summary:
Support the business functions of the school corporation in cooperation with the Business Manager and other office personnel to facilitate accounts payable and purchasing operations. Provide support to the general public by giving assistance and exemplifying a positive attitude.
Employment Requirements:
High school diploma required; 2-year college degree preferred Experience in the use of technology and office software. Knowledge of accounting, and extra-curricular accounting in Indiana public schools. One or two years' experience and/or training in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education. Maintain confidentiality
Essential Job Duties:
As Deputy Treasurer, prepares funds for deposit and helps maintain funds and accounts Assists in processing purchase orders through the district financial software. Prepare claims according to schedule established by the Business Manager. organize invoices for payment in accordance with SBOA regulations to avoid late fees. Pay claims in a timely manner. Consults on payroll processing Direct Deposit Determines amounts and pays personal employee obligations, annuities, insurance plans, and all levels of taxes. Returns calls to employees and vendors in a timely manner. Works with building level staff to ensure a smooth ordering process. Adheres to schedules with Corporation Treasurer/Business Manager regarding any purchasing issues or concerns. Provide administrative support to Superintendent. Correspondence, records searches, and schedules Organizes School Board meetings; agendas and materials. Attend all Board meetings and creates a legal record of meetings. Assists with updates to Corporation policy, Administrative Guidelines, and Corporation forms. Places these updates in the NEOLA manuals Submits Textbook Reimbursement Report to the state Meets all aspects of the Classified Employee Handbook. Performs all other duties required.
