Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will support the accounting department with essential clerical and administrative functions, ensuring smooth financial operations. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help maintain accurate records, streamline processes, and provide exceptional customer support. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting and office management skills in a professional environment that values initiative and teamwork. Duties Manage data entry tasks using QuickBooks and other accounting software to ensure precise financial records Assist with bookkeeping duties, including invoicing, billing, and expense tracking Support office management activities such as filing, document proofreading, and maintaining organized records Handle front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors, managing multi-line phone systems, and providing excellent customer service Coordinate calendar management and appointment scheduling for team members and clients Provide administrative support through tasks like typing correspondence, organizing files, and supporting office operations Utilize computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace to prepare reports and communicate effectively Experience Prior office experience with familiarity in clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and proofreading, attention to detail required. Experience working with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly preferred Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse clients and team members effectively Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills for handling inquiries via multi-line phone systems or in person Knowledge of office management practices including calendar management, document organization, and office supply coordination Previous experience with tax preparation.
