Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented part-time Office Assistant to support our daily administrative and accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, working with financial records, and helping keep the office running smoothly. Responsibilities include processing invoices and payments, maintaining records, answering phones, assisting with bookkeeping tasks, and providing general office support. We are looking for someone available to work 10-15 hours per week during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage and post job-related financial and administrative data accurately. Process and pay bills in a timely manner. Enter and maintain vendor invoices in the accounting system. Record and apply incoming payments correctly. Maintain detailed logs of product returns and adjustments. Process credit card payments and reconcile account balances. Use QuickBooks software for daily accounting tasks and reporting. Assist with general administrative and bookkeeping duties as needed. Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing and database systems, either manually or using a computer. Compile, copy, sort and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities. Other duties may be assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
High school degree required, associate degree preferred, but not required. Must have strong computer skills, with knowledge of the following programs (Quickbooks, Word, Excel and Windows 10 operating system) Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish (bilingual is a plus). Automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Basic accounting skills preferred Fast learner, and willing to learn Good communication skills Person must be reliable, punctual and detail orientated
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is to stand most of the day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
