Job Description

Paola School District is accepting applications for an Accounts Receivable and Payroll Clerk position. This is a full-time, 12-month (249-day) position with 10 paid holidays and a competitive benefits package, including KPERS retirement, health insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and other district benefits Duties include, but are not limited to: Process monthly payroll and maintain employee payroll records. Prepare and process payroll tax, retirement, and deduction reports. Maintain financial records and assist with accounting and financial reporting. Process district receipts and bank deposits
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of payroll/benefit laws and regulations preferred but not required Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), including intermediate-level Excel skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Ability to organize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently. •
Salary:
Starting wage: $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
