Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to support a machinery manufacturing operation in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This is a Contract position focused on maintaining accurate receivables activity, supporting customer payment processing, and helping keep billing records current. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial collections experience, advanced Excel skills, and a detail-oriented approach to financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounts receivable activity by posting incoming payments and keeping customer account balances accurate.
• Prepare and process credit memos while ensuring supporting documentation is complete and properly recorded.
• Apply cash receipts to open invoices in a timely manner and investigate discrepancies when payments do not match outstanding balances.
• Conduct commercial collections follow-up with customers to resolve overdue balances and improve payment turnaround.
• Create and maintain Excel-based reports, including spreadsheets that use pivot tables and lookup functions to track receivables trends and account status.
• Support billing-related tasks by reviewing invoice data, identifying errors, and coordinating corrections as needed.
• Reconcile account activity and research variances to ensure financial records reflect current customer transactions.
• Assist with receivables reporting and other accounting support duties required to maintain smooth day-to-day AR operations.
