Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Specialist is responsible for accurately and timely processing customer billings, collections, vendor invoices, and payments. This role ensures the integrity of financial records, supports month-end close activities, and maintains positive relationships with customers and vendors while adhering to internal controls, policies, and deadlines. Key Responsibilities Essential Functions Open and sort daily mail. Applies customer payments. Researches and solves payment discrepancies. Processes credit card payments and credits. Makes collections call. Provides weekly summary during cash meeting of outstanding customer balances and concerns Prepares and sends out customer statements and invoices. Posts vendor invoices and investigates with buyer any discrepancies. Creates and uploads ACH file and notifies controller upon completion. Validates vendor banking information for ACH/wire payments. Answers all vendor inquiries. Provide analysis of accounts as needed. Performs other tasks or assignments as required to improve AP/AR accuracy. Work in conjunction with the Controller to assure a timely month-end close. Ensures proper maintenance, digital organization and filing of vendor invoices General Support, foster, promote, and demonstrate Stairtek's Core Values; Whatever it Takes, Open to Change, High Standards, Think Like a Customer. Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Controller. Required Experience & Qualifications Basic Associate Degree in Accounting. 2+ years of relevant experience. General knowledge and understanding of GAAP procedures in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication, research, problem solving, and time management skills. Intermediate MS-Office skills, with proficiency in Excel with data management. High level of attention to detail. Proven ability to multitask with accuracy. Detail oriented. Preferred Bachelor degree in Accounting. 5+ years in relevant AR/AP experience. Experience in ERP systems (preferably Sage) Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft software. Working Conditions • Must be able to move throughout all areas of the plant as required to perform duties.

From $23.00 per hour
