Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to support ongoing financial operations for a contract opportunity based in the Murray area. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with detailed financial records, and confident producing accurate reporting that helps guide day-to-day business decisions. The role will focus on maintaining reliable accounting processes, monitoring cash activity, and supporting budgeting and month-end financial tasks.
Responsibilities:
Process outgoing payments and incoming receipts, ensuring invoices, collections, and vendor transactions are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain complete and well-organized accounting records in QuickBooks to support daily financial operations and reporting needs.
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card activity regularly to confirm balances and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Monitor general ledger entries and keep financial data accurate, current, and properly categorized.
Track project-related costs such as labor, materials, and other job expenses to support job costing and profitability analysis.
Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow summaries, and project cost reports for leadership review.
Assist with month-end close activities by verifying transactions, updating records, and supporting timely financial reporting.
