Job Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk manages outgoing payments, ensuring vendor invoices for medical supplies, services and facility costs are accurately coded, approved and paid.
Work Experience Requirements:
Process and maintain all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, and reimbursements. Reconcile vendor accounts through invoices, statements, and/or other supporting documentation. Assist in preparation of month end and annual data reports and tables pertaining to expenditures through accounts payable. Maintain the accuracy of historical data and records via electronic or manual measures. Correspond with all creditors and vendors regarding payment schedules, outstanding credits/invoices, and other accounting-related inquiries. Preparation of various monthly account analyses and other ad hoc reports. Continuous improvement of the payment process. Performed other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
High school Diploma required. Associate's degree in accounting is preferred. Five (5) years' related accounting experience. Knowledge of fund-based accounting systems, proficient in using computer-based spreadsheets and accounting applications. Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, instruct and develop employees. Administrative experience within a non-profit and/or health care organizational environment is highly desirable.
