AR Specialist Socomec Group - 3.6 Boston, MA Job Details Full-time $60,000 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Spreadsheets ERP systems Negotiation Full Job Description Socomec Group (Socomec) is a global leader in electrical equipment engineering and manufacturing, specialized in low voltage energy performance. Socomec North America (NAM) is Socomec's organization overseeing all operations in North America. About This Role The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is responsible for managing the full billing and collections cycle to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments. This role supports company cash flow through invoicing, customer account reconciliation, payment posting, and resolution of outstanding accounts. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities Reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies. Investigating and resolving customer billing inquiries and disputes. Following up on overdue customer accounts and managing collections. Generating customer invoices and statements. Verifying accuracy of customer invoices and ensuring proper authorization. Recording and coding customer payments in the accounting system. Applying cash receipts to customer accounts accurately. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payments disputes in a timely manner. Analyze collection trends and prepare reports on the status of AR and bad debt. Partner with sales, customer service, and finance teams to align process and resolving issues impacting AR. Provide financial data and reports to support decision making and forecasting. Support month end closing activities, including AR balance verification. Identify inefficiencies and work with AR Manager to implement automated solutions to streamline AR operations based on group and industry best practices. Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills 5+ years experience working within AR. 3-5 years experience with any ERP system. 3-5 years experience in implementing and driving process improvement. 3 years experience working with operating spreadsheets and accounting software. 3 years experience of customer service and negotiation.
Compensation:
