Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk Lawrence, MA Apply Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Lawrence, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing customer accounts and ensuring accurate financial transactions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial operations and collaborate closely with a dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue payments in line with company policies.
- Process daily bank deposits and accurately apply customer payments to corresponding accounts.
- Review, validate, and process customer deductions efficiently.
- Generate and distribute invoices to customers with precision and timeliness.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to confirm all payments are accurately recorded.
- Address and resolve billing discrepancies, customer inquiries, and any account-related issues with attention to detail.
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, highlighting outstanding balances and potential concerns for management review.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring proper documentation and entries.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support audits, reporting needs, and initiatives for process improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records and related documentation. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in managing accounts receivable processes, including collections and cash applications.
- Strong knowledge of commercial collections and billing functions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Solid problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries.
- Proficient in using accounting software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and customers.
