Job Description
Robert Half Bookkeeper Lawrence, MA Apply Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper on a contract basis in Lawrence, Massachusetts. In this role, you will support a portfolio of real estate and property management accounts, ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable while contributing to the smooth operation of property management activities.
Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain financial transactions in the Yardi system, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
- Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, tenant billing, collections, and cash posting.
- Perform monthly close tasks such as preparing bank reconciliations and financial statements for multiple entities and properties.
- Calculate and manage property-related financial charges, including tenant utility reimbursements, snow removal fees, and tax allocations.
- Assist in property management operations by handling lease administration, tenant communications, and insurance certificate tracking.
- Coordinate property-related documentation and filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide administrative and executive support by managing calendars, travel arrangements, and priority task tracking across various entities. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Strong skills in bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with property management accounting systems, particularly Yardi, is preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with property-related financial calculations, such as utility bill-backs and tax allocations.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
