This position will handle the day-to-day accounts payable functions for our company and work closely with vendors, subcontractors, and our internal team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (required) Accounts payable experience in a project-based or trades industry (preferred — construction, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, or similar) Understanding of job costing — cost codes, phase codes, and tracking expenses by project Familiarity with vendor/subcontractor payment processes, including pay-when-paid or milestone-based terms Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities at once Responsibilities Enter and process A/P invoices accurately and in a timely manner Code invoices to the correct jobs, cost codes, and phases Prepare and process check runs Work with vendors to obtain statements and reconcile accounts when discrepancies arise Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and resolve issues as needed Assist with preparation and processing of certified payroll Maintain organized records for all accounts payable transactions Assist with occasional ad-hoc accounting or administrative tasks as needed Logistics This role is in-office 5 days per week Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8 working hours per day 8:00am start time This role is a good fit for someone who has experience in accounts payable and is comfortable managing the full accounts payable process while working with vendors and subcontractors on a regular basis.
Pay:
$62,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
