JOB DESCRIPTION
Bookkeeper Job Description We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. The role involves a mix of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) tasks, along with a small amount of journal entry work. The ideal candidate will have experience in QuickBooks and will be comfortable with manual invoicing processes. This position offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment with the potential for contract extension. Responsibilities Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks. Perform a small amount of journal entry work. Operate within QuickBooks to manage financial records. Conduct manual invoicing efficiently. Essential Skills Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable. Proficiency in QuickBooks. Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge. 2-5 years of experience in accounting, particularly in AP, AR, and bookkeeping. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is a plus. Quick learning abilities and adaptability. Work Environment This position is 100% onsite, with working hours from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The work environment is not a typical office setting but rather an industrial construction supply company. Experience in construction or manufacturing is beneficial but not required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hyattsville, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
