Accounting Specialist Ledgent Finance & Accounting - 4.0 Laurel, MD Job Details $55,000 - $65,000 a year 3 days ago Qualifications Accounting experience within construction industry Office activity coordination Full Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Construction Accounting & Administrative Specialist to support our financial operations. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with clerical and administrative support. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction accounting and be proficient in Foundation software. This individual will work closely with the Project Financials Manager , assisting with day-to-day accounting functions while also supporting office organization and administrative needs. Key Responsibilities Accounting Provide full-cycle construction accounting support using Foundation software Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Prepare and process customer billing Enter and code invoices accurately Execute weekly check runs , including printing and distributing payments Perform bank account reviews and reconciliations in Foundation Maintain accurate and organized financial records Clerical & Administrative File and organize financial documents, including check stubs and invoices Prepare mailings and payment envelopes Maintain orderly records and assist with document management Support general office tasks and provide administrative assistance as needed Qualifications Required Experience in construction accounting (required) Strong proficiency with Foundation accounting software Ability to manage both accounting and administrative responsibilities High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Some college coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field Accounting degree not required All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
