To Apply for this Job Click Here Bookkeeper - Laurel, MD Job Summary Beacon Hill has partnered with a client in Laurel, MD who is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role ensures timely processing of financial transactions, proper documentation, and adherence to accounting best practices. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support financial reporting, reconciliations, and overall financial accuracy. Job Responsibilities Maintain and record daily financial transactions within the accounting system Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections tracking Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements, as needed Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on discrepancies or past-due accounts Ensure accurate coding of transactions and compliance with internal procedures Assist with audits, tax preparation, and coordination with external accountants Maintain organized and confidential financial records and documentation Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies Requirements Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information Preferred Qualifications Experience in the construction and/or engineering industry Familiarity with accounting systems Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience assisting with audits or month-end close
