Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a small office in Suitland, Maryland through a Contract position. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage core financial operations with accuracy, maintain organized records, and keep day-to-day accounting activities running smoothly. The person in this role will contribute to both payables and receivables while helping ensure reliable financial reporting and account maintenance.
Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming invoices, verify details for accuracy, and prepare payments in a timely manner.
  • Record customer payments, track outstanding balances, and follow up on account activity as needed.
  • Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized bookkeeping documentation, including payment histories, receipts, and transaction logs.
  • Support routine bill payment activities and help ensure obligations are met according to schedule.
  • Update accounting records consistently so financial information remains current and reliable.
  • Assist with general office administrative support related to finance and accounting operations.
