SUMMARY:

The AR Specialist will research and manage unpaid claims and patient balances to ensure timely revenue collection. This will include applying checks, ACH, and credit card payments to the patient's account. The role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Claims Follow up: Review and analyze AR aging reports to identify unpaid claims.

Payment Resolution:

Work with patients who have outstanding balances, setting up payment plans and assist in dispute resolution.

Customer Service:

Tactfully managing sensitive payment conversations while maintaining positive patient relationships.

Compliance:

Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and insurance regulations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Previous experience in medical billing or accounts receivable. Possess knowledge, skills, and ability to operate PC applications/software. Attention to detail, critical for accurate tracking numerical data without errors. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
