This role will provide hands-on accounting support, assist with transactional activities, and serve as a resource to a developing accounting team within a mission-driven nonprofit organization. The Accounting Consultant role is a hybrid position based in Bloomfield Hills, MI. This is a temporary opportunity through the end of August, offering a fast-paced environment with the ability to step in quickly and make an immediate impact during peak operational season. Accounting Consultant Responsibilities Support day-to-day transactional accounting activities during peak summer operations Assist and provide guidance to two newer staff accountants as they learn systems and processes Serve as a QuickBooks resource and support ongoing system usage across the accounting team Help ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and reporting Support month-end close activities and general accounting workflow needs Step into a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to existing processes and systems Assist the Accounting Supervisor in maintaining continuity of financial operations during high-demand period Provide general accounting support to ensure smooth execution of camp financial activities Accounting Consultant Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required Strong QuickBooks experience required Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required Nonprofit experience preferred Strong transactional accounting background required Ability to quickly ramp up in a fast-paced, seasonal environment Strong communication skills and ability to support junior-level staff Availability to work onsite 2 days per week, with potential for additional onsite time during ramp-up•UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
