Annually Starting Salary:
$51,064.00
After Six Months of Successful Employment:
$51,937.60
After One Year of Successful Employment:
$52,790.40 Maximum salary is achieved after three successful years of employment

Annual salary adjustments may also occur, based on collective bargaining agreements.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
An employee in this classification handles all customer or resident inquiries, in person or by telephone, concerning questions or complaints about regular or final water billings and automatic payments. An employee in this classification is responsible for: Issuing receipts for payment received at a register and processing payments and billing adjustments in the computer daily Opening the mail Generating out-of-cycle bills Processing automatic payments against billing stubs Tracking and maintaining records of deposits for tools, taps, and meters Entering data into a computer Reviewing data for accuracy before issuing billing statements Preparing memos, letters, or other correspondence; and maintaining historical files Resolving customer complaints with tact and thoroughness Running reports using financial software, create and maintain Excel spreadsheet Performing related bookkeeping duties Other duties as assigned
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Knowledge of:
Accounting and spreadsheet software Ability to: Multi-task in an environment of frequent interruptions Read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals Write routine reports and correspondence Calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages, and allocations Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

The purpose of this examination is to establish an eligible list to fill current, future, regular, and/or temporary vacancies.
