Position Description:
The Accounting specialist works closely with others in the finance department which oversees daily, monthly and yearly financial operations. Tasks are as follows but not limited to: Prepare accurate financial statements Reconcile accounts and credit card accounts Generate reports Manage accounts payable, pay and file invoices, and track the status of accounts Manage account receivables Prepare month-end reports and all necessary reporting Input ledger entries, process financial transactions Accounts payable, draft and send invoices, print checks and ACH payments in a timely manner Data Management Assist with administrative tasks including answering phones, organizing mail, or ordering office supplies, etc. Collaborate with Program Directors to prepare budgets for grants Prepare and complete daily bank deposits Prepare for financial audits Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors meetings and attend meetings
Hours:
Full Time 8-4 Monday thru
Friday Compensation:
TBD with experience taken into consideration
Benefits:

Qualifications:
Bachelors preferred 2-4 years experience in an accounting role Non-profit experience a plus MIP classic or MIP Cloud knowledge preferred Exceptional written and oral communication skills Computer proficiency Flexibility and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment Ability to work evenings and/or weekends when needed Federal and State grant knowledge This job posting outlines the typical tasks and responsibilities undertaken by an employee in this role.
