Accounting Specialist

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are partnering with a well-established organization seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist near Zeeland MI to support day-to-day financial operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a well-rounded accounting role and is looking for long-term stability with growth potential. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and supporting documentation Review, code, and enter invoices while ensuring proper approvals Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting Qualifications 2+ years of accounting experience (AP, AR, or general accounting) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Strong understanding of general accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred) Experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills Experience with reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvement Strong communication and teamwork mindset Why Apply Contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential Collaborative and team-oriented environment Opportunity to expand your accounting skillset across multiple functions

Pay Details:
