Hours worked are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. What you will bring to our team: The Accounting Generalist (Accounts Payable) supports the finance department administratively and prepare and maintain financial records pertaining to assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities and other related financial activities.Required Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Must not be disqualified by appropriate criminal background studies. Meet the physical requirements as outlined in this position description. Able to read and write in English. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) or more years of accounts payable experience. Experience in NetSuite and/or other accounting ERP software. Flexibility, assertiveness, strong organization skills, and attention to detail. Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills. Possess good oral and written communication skills.Specific Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties. Accurately verify and enter vendor bills, cash activity and other financial transactions as assigned to the appropriate accounts and locations in a timely manner. Accurately process bill payments in a timely manner. Manage fleet cards, purchasing cards, and any other payment cards for EON team members including issuance, update, and cancellation of employee, and vehicle cards, downloads, and import card activity to NetSuite. Reconcile other financial accounts as assigned. Identify and resolve invalid or unauthorized transactions by following company procedures. Identify and communicate discrepancies in data, investigate, and ensure timely resolution. Accurately calculate and report financial data as requested. Assist the Director of Finance by gathering necessary information and documents for responding to external party information requests. Maintain filing systems as assigned. Other duties. Maintain client and employee confidentiality. Attend and complete all required training as assigned to maintain professional and technical knowledge. Use the most appropriate means of communication to disseminate information in order to ensure open and consistent communication. Exercise sound judgement in all activities to promote workplace safety to prevent or minimize injuries including using appropriate physical effort and preventive practices. Act with honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times while on duty, including on or off company property. This includes treating others with respect, complying with organizational policies and procedures, appropriately using company resources, and reporting any unethical, unprofessional, or policy-violating conduct. Promote and maintain a friendly and pleasant work environment. Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures of EON, Inc. Participate in EON committees as assigned, including supporting committee work, and attending meetings and events. Complete other duties as assigned.
