We're a fast-paced, mission-driven team that values accuracy, professionalism, and warm, family-centered service. Position Summary We're seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and support accurate, timely reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with leadership. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Enter and reconcile transactions (bank/credit card reconciliations) Manage invoicing, vendor payments, and expense tracking Support payroll coordination and related reporting (as applicable) Track revenue and payments; assist with deposit tracking and monthly close support Prepare routine financial reports for leadership (monthly summaries, budget tracking, etc.) Maintain organized digital records and documentation for audits/tax prep Communicate with leadership regarding discrepancies, trends, and process improvements Ensure confidentiality and professionalism with all clinic financial information Required Qualifications 5+ years of bookkeeping experience (required) Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles (reconciliations, AP/AR, general ledger basics) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Reliable, consistent follow-through and ability to meet deadlines Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) Comfortable learning and using software systems and standardized workflows Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Preferred Qualifications Experience in a healthcare, clinic, or service-based business environment Experience with payroll support and month-end closing processes Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) Work Location & Schedule On-site at The Hero Clinic (Central Missouri)
