Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Bookkeeper and become a vital part of our financial operations! We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day financial operations and manage payroll processing. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy and comfortable handling multiple responsibilities at once. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and produce reliable financial reports. Responsibilities Manage daily bookkeeping and financial transactions using our accounting software Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy across all accounts Prepare journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling Conduct account reconciliation tasks to verify the integrity of financial data and resolve discrepancies promptly Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed Generate detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to support management decision-making Assist with general office and operational support as needed Coordinate with accountants during tax season and audits Skills Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar programs. Experience with Dynamics GP (aka Microsoft Great Plains) is a plus. Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting practices Knowledge of GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries Expertise in bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes Familiarity with governmental accounting procedures and tax experience is advantageous Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks and maintain attention to detail during account analysis Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines efficiently Effective communication skills for financial report writing and collaborating with team members on technical accounting issues High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Associate's degree or accounting certification preferred (not required)
Pay:
$23.32 - $28.09 per hour
