Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper specializing in construction industry accounting to join a growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Duties Process Certified Payroll. Ensure accurate computation and disbursement of employee wages, in accordance with all regulations and guidelines for certified payroll reporting. Oversee the preparation and submission of necessary reports to various unions, ensuring compliance with union agreements and maintaining accurate records of union-related contributions. Maintain accurate financial records by preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring that all transactions are documented and correctly allocated in the accounting system. Perform regular reconciliations of credit card statements to verify transactions, identify discrepancies, and ensure proper allocation of expenses. Coordinate the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing of clients, tracking payments, and addressing any outstanding balances or billing inquiries. Requirements Proven experience in bookkeeping within the construction industry a must. Proficiency in accounting software, including Viewpoint, Timberline, Foundation or similar Certified payroll and union reporting experience is a must Strong Microsoft Excel skills
