Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable and Payroll Specialist to join our construction team. This role requires the ability to take initiative and set priorities, strong organization and communication skills, and a willingness to learn and be a team player. Duties Processing monthly AIA progress billings and track retainage. Handling lien waivers and certified payroll. Processing payments and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records and manage aging reports to ensure payments are current. Contacting clients for payment updates. Reconciling monthly bank statements. Assist with month-end closings. Process payroll for construction employees, including hourly, salaried and union workers. Collect, review and verify timesheets, work hours, and job codes for multiple construction projects. Calculate wages, deductions, and benefits according to company policies and union agreements. Accuracy in entering payroll into ADP. Experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel. 3+ years accounting experience preferred; construction accounting a plus. Familiarity with ComputerEase a plus, but not required.
