Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with established accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and sales invoicing. Manage Accounts Receivable and collection efforts. Process Sales Taxes. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data. Prepare monthly financial reports and provide insights to management. Manage Employee records Process payroll and manage employee expense reimbursements. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and deadlines. Collaborate with auditors during financial review processes. Provide support in various accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Employee benefit program knowledge and experience. Payroll Tax experience. ERP conversion experience. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
