QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities. Demonstrate willingness to pursue additional training as required. Proficiency utilizing IBM compatible computers for word processing, database records and student record management. Such alternative or additional qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate or acceptable.

JOB GOAL
To substantially assist the assigned administrator or supervisor reach his or her job goal by assuming the following performance responsibilities.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Process correspondence, reports, notices, and recommendations. Obtain, gather, and organize pertinent data as needed, and put it in usable form. Maintain a regular filing system and process incoming correspondence as instructed. Place and receive telephone calls and record messages. Order and maintain supplies as needed. Perform any bookkeeping or record keeping tasks associated with the specific position. Collect and compile necessary data for the preparation of the building budget. Prepare financial and other reports as required. Maintain student attendance records and prepare reports and correspondence as needed. Maintain assigned building employee and substitute teacher attendance records and submit necessary reports. Prepare and process purchase orders for the assigned building. Compile data, generate and distribute grade reports, grade point averages and class rank listings at the secondary level. Process and deposit all cash funds collected. Dispense approved medication and administer basic first aid in the absence of school nursing personnel. Process correspondence and evaluation reports for the guidance staff. Assume such other duties as assigned by the administration. If more than one secretary is assigned to a building, the above duties and responsibilities will be assigned among the secretarial staff by the building principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary, work day, and year to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
